CITB Funding
Skilled & knowledgable workers are essential to the construction industry in order to carry out operational activity safely & effectively. Under the Industrial Training Act 1982, CITB founded the Levy in order to meet ongoing demand for skilled workers in the construction industry.
CITB Regional Construction Support Groups
Alpha Safety work closely with many of the regional CITB Training & Support Groups allowing members access to professional, friendly advice and funding towards training. Each Support Group is run by its own Group Training Officer who will help you to source the right qualifications for the job.
ReACT+Scheme
The Welsh Government ReACT Plus is designed to assist those who are facing redundancy, been made redundant, or have been made unemployed within the past 12 months. The scheme is in place in order to gain the skills necessary to regain employment.
PLA Funded training
Alpha safety training now offers Personal Learning Accounts (PLA) fully funded RTITB training in collaboration with Coleg Y Cymmoedd.
The Welsh government initiative is designed for employed individuals earning under £35,796 or those at risk of redundancy, and covers training in digital, green, and health sectors.
Skills in the Workplace
As of 1st October 2026, Alpha Safety training has been approved to support with up to 50% funded training through the latest Coleg Sir Gar funding initiative "Skills in the Workplace".

NEW - Potential for fully funded training with duel funding
If your company is CITB registered, then you may be able to utilise the CITB Employer Network to fund 50% of your training, and Coleg Sir Gar to fund the remaining 50%!
